About
We’re an independent design studio in New York City, creating thoughtful work for tomorrow’s brand leaders.
Approach
Making meaningful connections, good work & good friends are everything to us.
We think big and go even bigger with the tiniest of details — no matter how small a project might be. Our approach is never about winning awards or creating work for the sake of beautiful creative, but we always strive to achieve outstanding results with amazing people (our clients). We don’t walk around and talk as if we know it all. We’re lifelong students. We continue to learn from and with you. And our clients would let you in on the well-known secret that our service is next level.

All this starts with being completely focused on your business goals and developing strategically sound creative that is both visually captivating and most importantly, motivates the consumer to take action.
About Us
Founders
We're Matsumoto & Kane, but our friends call us Ryosuke & Amanda. Before starting our studio, we worked side-by-side for 20 years at other agencies.
Amanda watched Ryosuke connect with consumers using his aesthetic precision. Ryosuke watched Amanda connect with clients and forge long-lasting partnerships.
Naturally, we then connected over how much we respected one another’s talents. Our ability to connect with others has always come naturally, but it’s more than just a habit. It’s who we are.
Connection is at the core of everything we do. It’s why our design work resonates with diverse audiences. Why we cheer our clients on, like they’re our own family and friends. And why, even after all this time, we still love working together.
We’re pretty sure you’ll love it, too.
Amanda Kane Co-Founder / CEO
Amanda Kane has understood the significance of meaningful relationships her whole life. From the time she was a kid, she knew that the best way to work with people was to find common ground. As the “K” half of M&K, she knows that being smart and strategic about business is table stakes in any client relationship. But being committed to the relationship itself is where the real magic happens.
Amanda sharpened her skills managing marketing budgets for Fortune 500 clients including JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and Time Warner. When Top Chef was making its mark on the hot, hot, hot food scene, she was developing the branding and marketing campaigns for the International Culinary Center in NYC. She helped to take a small ETF start-up, WisdomTree, from a new player in the industry to one of the most trusted sources for ETFs, and in the process she helped pioneer the 15-second “Ticker Spot” which is still emulated today. Her approach is rooted in straightforward principles: know your client’s business inside and out, always do the right thing, think carefully, and pay attention to the details. She believes in going above and beyond—not just doing her job, but also anticipating her client’s needs to ensure they shine. Building trust, becoming an indispensable team member, and creating authentic connections have been the cornerstones of her career.
The client relationships that Amanda has forged have been the backbone of her career. When she's not busy telling everyone what to do (nicely, of course), she's learning to play the drums or cooking Sunday dinner for her friends and family. Her office mascot is her best buddy, her dog Archie.
